Nearby attractions include the historic and picturesque Alley Mill, which is open daily in summer with ranger-led tours available upon request. Several hiking trails depart from the area, including the Alley Overlook Trail, Chubb Hollow Trail, and connections to the Ozark Trail. The surrounding landscape is characterized by White oak and Shortleaf pine forests, with Redbud and Dogwood putting on spectacular spring displays. The campground provides flush toilets and hot showers year-round, with full modern facilities and a camp store operating seasonally from April 15 to October 15. A dump station is located at the campground entrance, and water hookups are available at electric sites. Ranger-led campfire programs are offered in the amphitheater during summer months. As of January 1, 2025, all sites are reservation-only through Recreation.gov.
