Sand Pond Group Camp is located within Pine Log State Forest, Florida's first state forest established in 1936. This youth-oriented group camping facility sits along the banks of Pine Log Creek, approximately 14 miles north of Panama City Beach in Washington County. The campground offers two group tent sites, each accommodating up to 20 people, with access to restrooms and showers available in the adjacent main Sand Pond Campground. The forest encompasses approximately 7,000 acres of diverse natural communities including sand hills, flatwoods, cypress ponds, and titi swamps.
