Lick Creek Campground

Lick Creek Campground offers a quiet camping experience along Lick Creek in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Located on the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway (Forest Road 39), this small 9-site campground provides a peaceful setting surrounded by forested terrain with a mix of trees and open spaces. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground features vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. All sites are first-come, first-served with payment collected at a self-service fee station. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Popular activities include day hiking, fishing in Lick Creek, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives along the byway. The area experiences light to moderate use during the summer season.
