The area is particularly popular with equestrians, hikers, and wildlife enthusiasts. Devil's Canyon Trail provides excellent horseback riding opportunities for all skill levels, while the surrounding landscape supports seven distinct habitats that attract migratory birds and diverse wildlife.

The Canadian River's work over centuries has carved dramatic 200-foot canyons around the lake, creating secluded coves and unique ecosystems perfect for nature observation. This is a primitive camping experience with no drinking water or flush toilets available. Each site features a picnic table, shade shelter, and grill. Campfires are permitted in existing grills and rings only. Trailers and RVs are allowed, though the unpaved roads may present accessibility challenges.
