About this campground
ProfileOur campsite is located in the middle of a wonderful refuge of nature. Directly on the Upper Grumbach pond, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, at the foot of the Bocksberg. Enjoy the peace and quiet at the Waldsee, surrounded by dense forests. Listens to the silence, the wind and the birds. Feels the ... light wind, which blows in the Harz mostly also on warm summer days. Stuns in the evening when the sun goes down behind the trees and reflects its light in the lake. Smells the scent of the forest. Or actively experience the Harz. Our place is the ideal place for connoisseurs, active hikers and mountain bikers.

The hiking trails start right outside the door and lead into a hundreds of kilometers long network of paths through the whole Oberharz. Countless excursion destinations invite you to discover and marvel. Directly "in front of the door" lie the Sommerrodelbahn as well as the mountain bike downhill route on the Bocksberg. And in winter, the Ski Resort Bocksberg lures in front of the front door, a sledge slope can be reached in 10 minutes on foot, entrance to the Hahnlo cross-country trails.
