To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, all guests and visitors must follow the rules below while on the property located at 7373 Coleman Road, Port Alberni, BC. Failure to follow campground rules may result in removal from the property without refund. 1. Quiet Hours Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of other guests and avoid loud music, generators, or disruptive activity during these hours. 2. Generator Use To minimize noise in the campground, generators may be used between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM and between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM only. Generators may be used outside of these hours during periods of extreme heat when necessary for health or safety, such as to operate air conditioning. 3. Visitors Visitors are welcome but must respect campground rules. Visitors arriving after 10:00 PM must park in the upper parking lot near the office to avoid disturbing other campers. Campers are responsible for the conduct of their visitors. 4. Pets Pets are welcome but must be controlled at all times. • Maximum 2 dogs per campsite • Pets must be leashed when outside your campsite • Pets must not disturb other campers • Owners must clean up pet waste immediately • Do not throw pet waste on the riverbank or into the river Visitors may not bring pets onto the property. Aggressive animals are not permitted. 5. Campfires Campfires are permitted only when there is no active campfire ban. • Fires must be kept in designated fire pits • Fire pits must be located above the high water mark • All BC Wildfire Service regulations must be followed 6. Smoking Restrictions During Fire Bans During BC Wildfire Service campfire prohibitions, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property except inside a private vehicle or RV. Smoking outside vehicles during fire bans is not permitted. 7. Wildlife Awareness Please be bear aware. • Do not leave food or garbage outside • Keep campsites clean • Dispose of garbage in the campground dumpster or inside your RV Food and garbage left out can attract wildlife. 8. Water Access Shared access points to the river and water must remain open and unobstructed at all times. 9. Swimming and River Use There is no lifeguard on duty. Swimming and river activities are at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times. 10. Alcohol Alcohol consumption is permitted only within your campsite. Open alcohol elsewhere on the property is not permitted. 11. Prohibited Activities The following are not permitted on the property: • Firearms • Illegal activities • Aggressive or dangerous behaviour • Excessive intoxication • Fighting, threats, or harassment • Any behaviour that disturbs other guests The campground reserves the right to remove anyone violating these rules without refund. 12. Motorized Vehicles Motorized recreational vehicles such as ATVs and UTVs are not permitted on the property. 13. Campsite Modifications Permanent changes to campsites are not allowed. This includes: • Pouring concrete • Building permanent structures • Altering the land or vegetation 14. Vegetation Protection Cutting or removing native vegetation is not permitted within 15 metres of the high water mark of the river or creeks. Please help protect the shoreline and surrounding ecosystem. 15. Industrial Areas Access to Coleman Road Shingle Ltd. and other industrial areas at 7373A Coleman Road is strictly prohibited. This is an active industrial site. Anyone entering these areas will be removed from the campground immediately without refund. 16. Property and Personal Responsibility Coleman RV & Campground Ltd. and 1316579 B.C. Ltd. are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or injury occurring on the property. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their children, visitors, and pets. 17. Site Condition All belongings must be removed from the site at the end of your stay. Your campsite must be left in the same condition it was in upon arrival. 18. Industrial Noise Notice Please note that the campground is located beside an active industrial operation and adjacent to the Alberni Fish & Game Club rifle range. Sudden loud noises may occur during operating hours. Please supervise children and pets accordingly. WAIVER COLEMAN RV & CAMPGROUND LTD MEMBER AND VISITOR/GUEST CONSENT, RELEASE, AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY In consideration of being permitted to enter and use Coleman RV & Campground Ltd.’s camping resort premises, the undersigned member, visitor, or guest and their guests agree as follows: I understand that access to and use of the campground may involve risks of physical injury to myself or others, including my guests, damage to property, or other consequences arising from my own actions, the actions or negligence of others, the condition of the premises, or weather conditions. There may also be risks that are not known or not reasonably foreseeable. I voluntarily and unequivocally assume all risks of injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss arising from or related to my presence at or use of the campground. On behalf of myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, family members, visitors, guests, successors, assigns, and any other person who may make a claim on my behalf, I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Coleman RV & Campground Ltd., 1316579 B.C. Ltd., and all other persons or entities involved with the campground, including their owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, insurers, participants, and representatives, collectively referred to as the “Released Parties,” from any and all claims, causes of action, damages, losses, and liabilities of every kind whatsoever, whether economic or non economic, including claims for death, personal injury, illness, property loss, or property damage, arising out of or relating to my presence at or use of the campground. This includes, without limitation, claims relating to theft, damage to equipment, negligence, disability, first aid, medical care, medical treatment, medical decisions, or medical or hospital expenses. I further agree that I will not threaten or commence legal proceedings against any of the Released Parties for any claim that I have waived, released, or discharged under this agreement. I specifically agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all expenses, claims, liabilities, damages, costs, attorney’s fees, and litigation expenses arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from my breach of this agreement or from my actions or inactions that cause injury, illness, death, or damage to any person or property. I will not do anything that compromises my own safety or the safety of others visiting the campground. If this agreement is signed on behalf of a minor, incapacitated person, or mentally or physically challenged person, the parent or legal guardian signing acknowledges that they have the legal capacity and authority to bind that person to this agreement. The parent or legal guardian further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, expenses, or liabilities arising from any insufficiency of legal capacity or authority in signing this agreement on behalf of that person. This agreement shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia. If any provision of this agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from the agreement and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
