Turn right and head across the Somerset border to Yeovil which is only 30 minutes away with a traditional shopping centre, Octagon theatre, railway centre and so much more. There really is a wonderful area right on your doorstep ready to explore. Venture a little further and there is yet more to see, explore the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Bridport with its rope making history and ever popular Saturday and Farmers Markets, Lyme Regis for the Cobb, the renown annual Jazz Festival, or Charmouth for fossil hunting. Perhaps go to Weymouth and see or fish the Chesil beach, soon to be home to the Olympic sailing, or to Blandford for the world famous Steam Fair.
