Chundu Campsite | Established Campground | Zimbabwe

Site right in the banks of the Zambezi River under a big jackalberry (?) tree. No facilities, just a fire pit and an abandoned long drop. Beautiful view. Hippos nearby. We saw plenty of wildlife on our drive in. Only downside is there was music coming from the Zambia side - perhaps from a lodge across the way. (The buildings in Zambia aren't close, but you can see their rooftops). Cost for two people to camp for one night is $60: $25 pppn for park fee and camping fee plus $10 for the vehicle. When we asked the ranger at the gate about buying firewood, she told us to collect it in the park! If you drive a bit further into the park (toward Chundu 1) there's another beautiful more shady site under a few trees (but with lots of toilet paper around)
