About this campground
Castlerigg Farm Camping and Caravan Site is in a particular beautiful part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing.With exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells, the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. Keswick town is aprox 25 minute walk down through the woods or a 5 minute drive by car.We are a family site, catering for families and couples, not suitable for noise.We have a rule of no noise after 10.30pm.

Consideration for other campers is welcome.Run by the Harrison family since the early 1920s the site provides modern amenities which include power showers, heated washrooms, laundry room, shop and cafe.Hook-up points for caravans or motor homes can be booked in advanced. Sorry, no reservations can be made for camping unless your organizing a Duke of Edinburgh expedition.DirectionsLeave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 to Keswick. Leave the A66 on the left hand slip road signpost Keswick. 200 yards at the Low Briery junction turn left and follow the road to the next T junction. Turn left up Chestnut Hill signpost Windermere and follow road uphill for 1/2 mile. Turn right up a small lane at a large brown sign indicating Castlerigg Hall, Castlerigg Farm and The Heights Hotel. We are 300 yards on the LEFT. Do not follow any signs for Castlerigg stone circle!
