Sea Very safe bathing and a mile of golden sand for the children to dig to there hearts content. Easy launching of your own boat with the seal colony and heronry just a short trip away. Fishing Sea fishing from the rocks and harbour or boat trips can be arranged. The river Carra runs along the edge of the site and has a run of Salmon and Sea Trout for the game angler. Daily and weekly tickets are available from the site office.Horse Riding The local trekking centre is available for novices to the more experienced rider. During the summer holidays short rides available around the site for children. NatureThe site is close to Carradale Point, a nature conservation area, with its herd of feral goats, bird life in abundance, deer, otters and seals, as well as eagles and buzzards tumbling overhead.Local Area Carradale is a small tranquil Fishing Village on the east coast of Kintyre, where I am afraid we CANNOT offer you pubs, amusements and the noisy seaside atmosphere that some locations have to offer. Although we CAN offer you peace, tranquillity and the beauty of unspoilt Scottish countryside. Carradale is reached by taking the B842 coast road down the east of the Kintyre Peninsular, with its glorious views over Arran, the journey can be spectacular. When you reach Carradale you won't be disappointed, a quite little Village, the East and West sides of Carradale Village being separated by the Carradale Estate. Carradale which has a delightful little harbour, Village shop, Post Office and Hotel has virtually remained the same for generations. The warm air from the gulf stream makes this part of Scotland a gardeners paradise, making the whole area green and lush. Whatever your interests, walking, golf with 5 golf courses including the championship course at Machrihanish, watersports including sailing, windsurfing and subaqua, fishing in abundance, or just simply relaxing we are sure that visiting Carradale won't be a disappointment.
