About this campground

Located between Nevers, Moulins, Bourges and Saint Amand Montrond in the heart of France, 280 kilometers from Paris, 260 kilometers from Lyon, in a wild Berry full of history. For those who want a place without telephone, television, computer it is ideal. Children will have the opportunity to go and see Shetland ponies in the fields or make huts in the small wood after crossing a lookout over the Arcueil river (boots are recommended). Historic places not to be missed: Nevers, the ramparts, its cathedral, its earthenware, the tomb of Saint Bernadette…. Bourges, the beautiful cathedral and its surroundings, the old medieval houses, the historic center, the Jacques Cœur palace...

Moulin, the center where we find the museum of costumes and theater and cinema scenes. On the banks of the Allier, the rowing training pools. Bruère Allichamps, geographical central point of France with the magnificent NOIRLAC abbey where concerts, sound and light shows are organized. Saint-Amand Montrond, its historic district with many gourmet restaurants, the Berry canal, the city of gold... There are many possibilities for visits for walkers on marked trails for long hikes such as the Camino de Santiago which cross Berry. From Sancoins, walkers and cyclists can reach several medieval villages via small paths and country roads, such as: Sagonne where they will discover the 12th century castle where the medieval festival takes place every summer. Apremont sur Allier, one of the most beautiful flowery villages in France with its castle, its museum and a floral park, located on the banks of the Allier where canoe enthusiasts can dock for a break before setting off again on the Bec d'Allier and the Guetin. This route can be done by setting off with your canoe from the village of Le Veurdre. This walk on a wild river where you can see different species of birds, grey herons, storks, cormorants, white egrets, kingfishers and many other species living on this beautiful river (Get your cameras ready). We welcome you between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
