With our location at 700 meters altitude you can enjoy warm summer days, but always with pleasantly cool nights. In the autumn you can find wild mushrooms, hazelnuts and chestnuts in the forests around the finca. In the spring nature comes alive with a wealth of wild, medicinal flowers and herbs. Our finca itself has a vegetable garden and an orchard, when there is an abundance we like to share with our guests. The finca is surrounded by a varied flora and fauna. You can regularly spot foxes, wild boars, deer and an impressive range of birds, including the golden oriole, hoopoe, bee-eater and majestic birds of prey such as eagles. In addition to our own modest irrigation pool, in July and August you can use the large municipal swimming pool in Fuenteheridos, accessible via a quiet dirt road just 500 metres away. There are also lovely swimming spots in the surrounding villages. There is always something going on in the region: from religious and summer festivals to concerts and other cultural events. **Finca Las Peñascas** offers an ideal base for a relaxing stay in nature, with a touch of local culture and tradition.
