About this campground
Relax and unplug with this Beautiful view of the Big Bend Mountains with easy access off Hwy 118. Only 55 miles from Big Bend and 30 minutes from Terlingua Ghost Town. COVID Spacing friendly - large distance between campsites. 4 minute drive to Little Burro Country store for drinking water, food, propane, and campfire wood needs. Located close to Big Bend National Park in Southwest Texas. Beautiful skies. I own 20 acres. You are welcome to set up anywhere on my property. But PLEASE keep vehicles on the drive, do not drive out across my land as the desert plant life is fragile. Anything broken takes many years to regrow. Please purchase of bring YOUR OWN WOOD for campfires.

Gather of wood and kindling not allowed, it needs to decompose in place in the desert to help hold dirt in place to build soil. Outhouse with flush toilet available with greatly reserved flushes. (flushing must be reserved for solid stool, due to lack of rain which provides water here) Common/shared picnic table and fire ring available as well as individual fire rings at each site. Also have local guide service at Jackass Flats if bringing own horses. Bring own water, firewood etc. No electricity Hookup available. This is a dark skies quiet zone. Bring own water to drink and cook. Water is very scarce in the desert. Septic dump available within 3 miles. Happy to help with area activity questions or trail suggestions.
