Campingplatz Peters has been delighting people of all ages for 60 years. The first guests were canoeists from Dortmund in 1927. They regularly stopped at the canal from Dortmund to Lüdinghausen to set up their tents in the meadows near Bauer Frenking. Back then, a pan of fried potatoes with two fried eggs cost 50 pfennigs.
