About this campground
Camping Súdermeer is located on the inside of the IJsselmeer dike, on the edge of Stavoren, one of the famous 'Eleven Cities'. The diverse nature of the surrounding area, with its reed fields and marshlands, offers a lot to hikers and nature lovers. The nearby Gaasterland, with its forests and cliffs along the IJsselmeer coast, is not far away and invites you for a bike ride. Three of the other well-known Eleven Cities, Hindeloopen, Workum, and Sloten, are easily accessible by bike and are definitely worth a visit. In addition, there is a ferry at the port of Stavoren that goes to Enkhuizen, as well as a train connection to Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland.
