Camping Mar Azul Balerma

The pitches are well-illuminated and covered with loose gravel. There are also several colourful wooden bungalows in the centre of the campsite. A short drive north will take you to Granada, home to the Alhambra, a palace complex from the Moorish era that's on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The campsite is open all year round, making it a good choice for a winter break. The 220 gravel and hard ground pitches are arranged in orderly rows and come with 16A electricity, water, and drainage. Artificial shade is provided for the summer months. The campsite is a great base for touring Andalucía. Nearby attractions include Almeria's old quarter, the Alcazaba fortress, a 16th-century Gothic cathedral, the Cabo de Gata National Park, the Tabernas Desert, and the Alpujarras White Villages. Facilities at the campsite include two modern, heated sanitary blocks with hot showers and facilities for disabled visitors, a launderette, motorcaravan services, a small supermarket, a bar/restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a sports ground, a playground, and car hire.
