The campsite is located in the interior of southern France in the Occitan region. The peaks and characteristic gorges of the Cevennes form the scenic setting of the square and are ideal for hiking trips. In addition to bathing opportunities in the lake, Camping Lac de Villefort has a heated outdoor swimming pool as a special feature. The reservoir is also suitable for various water sports such as water skiing and is popular as a fishing area.
