About this campground
Camping Königstein is a terraced campsite located in Königstein, Saxony, right by a river. The majority of the pitches are on a flat, parcelled meadow by the Elbe river, with additional pitches on slightly higher terraces. The campsite is primarily aimed at tourists, with a small proportion of permanent campers. All pitches offer a view of the Elbe, the Lilienstein table mountain rock formation, and Königstein Fortress. Camping Königstein has a long tradition of tent camping in Saxon Switzerland. For our tent-loving guests, we have created a weather shelter that provides refuge in the rain and shade in the sun.

The campsite's ideal location, directly by the water and the Elbe Cycle Path, and about 800m from the S-Bahn, bus, boat dock, and Elbe ferry, makes it easy to reach without a car. This allows easy access to the most beautiful hiking trails and attractions such as Königstein Fortress, Rathen spa town, the Bastei, Bad Schandau, Kirnitzschtal, and the art and cultural city of Dresden. Right next to the campsite, there is also a canoe and inflatable boat rental, as well as a bicycle rental. For sporty holidaymakers, the campsite offers excursion programmes. Swimming is possible nearby in the river. The campsite also provides fresh bread. It is possible to rent hikers' cabins and bungalows/chalets.
