About this campground

Get away from it all and enjoy the serenity of bush at this dog-friendly campground. Lerderderg Campground is a great base for exploring by 4WD. Wake to the song of native birds, enjoy a peaceful picnic or set off on a bushwalk or stay at Amblers Crossing which is only accessible in dry weather. Lerderderg campground is five kilometres from O'Brien's Crossing on Upper Chadwick Track and has picnic tables, toilets and fireplaces. Fires are permitted only in the fireplaces provided. No bookings or fees are required. Camping is first in, first-served. Dogs on lead are permitted.

Camping is permitted at Amblers Crossing, which is 4WD or walk-in access only and due to the terrain and track surface is accessible only in dry weather. Campers should be prepared for a basic bush camping experience and be self-sufficient with drinking water. Carry it in or know how to make untreated water safe for drinking. Walk-in bush camping is permitted in the Conservation Zone, but solid fuel fires are prohibited. No bookings or fees apply to walk-in bush camping. Camping is first in, first-served.
