About this campground
Camping De Lente van Drenthe is situated near the Gieten-Borger forest. Close by is Het Nije Hemelriek beach resort, a large natural lake with sandy shores, surrounded by forests. This is a perfect camping spot for those seeking tranquility, hiking and cycling enthusiasts, and families with children. The well-kept campsite is divided into large fields with a beautiful lawn. Playgrounds with sandboxes are scattered around. Each field is enclosed by diverse bushes for shelter. The camping spots are also large. The many yearly spots and chalets are separate from the tourist spots. This campsite also offers luxury lodge tents with sanitation facilities for rent.

Opposite the reception and bar is a small, rectangular swimming pool. There's a separate pool for young children. The beach, much larger, is nestled among the greenery, a short walk from the campsite along a forest path. The beach is surrounded by wide sandy shores. In summer 2019, the campsite opened a large water park, DX Adventure park. There's a lot for children to do, from playgrounds and a deer park to sports fields for tennis, soccer, and volleyball. Activities for all ages are available, including a craft club and performances. Campers can also enjoy the jeu de boules pitch, table tennis tables, a recreation room, and an amphitheater. The small campsite shop offers a limited range of products and fresh bread daily. There's also a terrace. A restaurant is located near the beach.
