About this campground
Can you see yourself bedding down by the beach, with a cracking collection of restaurants, bars and shops within a few minutes’ stroll? You can? Then canter along to Camping Candango, a couple of minutes’ strut from cracking Canasvieiras beach, one of Santa Catarina's liveliest spots. Up at the north end of the island, you'll be about half an hour’s drive away from the main town of Florianópolis but well supplied with places to eat, drink and acquire new beach kit.

If you’d like to save a few reais by eating in, the facilities here should see you sorted: the site has been set up with a generous three kitchen areas, giving access to stoves, fridges, sinks and barbecues, along with benches and tables on which to lay out your feast (or just crack open a sociable few beers with amigos old or new). There’s often quite a party going on around Canasvieiras, but don’t panic if you fancy an early night – peaceful slumbers are always on the cards at Candango, thanks to the nightly quiet hours (11pm to 7am) and the patrolling security team that’ll have a word in the ear of any noisy folk who try to bend the rules.
