Camping Búzios

Handily placed for those beaches (and for the area’s many restaurants, bars, shops and activities) is friendly Camping Búzios, where grass pitches are surrounded by trees for shade (plus lighting and electricity, thanks to the lamps and sockets cunningly concealed within the trunks…) The city centre is around three kilometres away, but more importantly there are plenty of eating and drinking spots within walking distance and beaches around a kilometre away. It’s not just the trees that offer up handy facilities here – also on site is a simple restaurant with home-cooked meals, snacks and breakfasts, plus a communal kitchen with a gas stove (although you’ll need to provide whatever remaining kit you need to knock up meals). A grocery store stocks a range of holiday essentials including canned goods, cookies, ice creams and cool beers. Remnants of the day’s beach trip can be hosed off at the site’s outdoor showers; among the other amenities are a hot bath and toilets (two each for the ladies and the gents). This is a family-friendly site but please note that it might not be suitable for very young kids (five and under) during major holidays and carnival time.
