About this campground

Bassegoda Park is a campsite located in the mountainous Alta Garrotxa region. It's a peaceful place where visitors respect the natural environment. The campsite is a good base for exploring the unique Catalan region, either by foot or bicycle, or simply for relaxing in a hammock between two trees. The campsite is a bit away from the mountain village of Albanyà, in the protected nature reserve of Alta Garrotxa. This region merges with the Spanish Pyrenees. To get to the campsite, take exit 3 on the N15 and follow the signs to Llers. From Llers, Albanyà is signposted. The journey to the campsite takes you through green forested mountains and beautiful landscapes.

The campsite itself is located by a river, nestled between high mountains and surrounded by trees. It offers a true countryside camping experience. The trees provide shade and privacy to the spacious pitches, which are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There's also a 'free camping field' where you can choose your own spot for your tent. For those seeking more comfort, the campsite offers a park with various bungalows and lodge tents. Bassegoda Park is a great place for a relaxing holiday, especially for those seeking peace and quiet. It's located between the regions of the Alt Empordà, Vallespir and the Alta Garrotxa, in a Natural Interest Park. This makes it a great spot for nature lovers. The Muga river, its tributary rivers and the surrounding mountains offer many opportunities for outdoor activities such as adventure sports, fishing, hunting, trekking, hill-walking and more. The campsite is also a stage of the GR11 race, making it a good spot for mountain biking.
