Lazily drifting back and forth between base and Silver Sands beach is certainly one option you'll want to exploit – perhaps pausing to pick up drinks and snacks at the bars and food shops en route – but when you feel ready to explore further afield it's also easy to venture out to spots as diverse as Barbados Golf Club (10 minutes' drive), the bustling streets of Bridgetown (25 minutes) or Harrison's Cave (40 minutes). The people who run this place have been sorting outdoor hols on the island since 2015. After years in the business they know all there is to know about getting your luggage from A to B, organising top guided tours and dropping off essentials at your pitch ready for your arrival. As far as facilities are concerned, Camping Barbados keeps things environmentally friendly with a composting loo; there are also showers on hand for washing away any sand you've inevitably brought back from Silver Sands beach (10 minutes' walk).
