About this campground
Hampyeong Nabimaeul Seoul Camping Ground is a place newly revitalized by Seoul City from a local closed school that was formerly Seongnam Elementary School. It is located on Hamjang-ro in Hampyeong-eup, Hampyeong-gun. It opened in March 2017 and is 5,800 pyeong (approx. 19,173 square meters or 4.7 acres). The campground consists of 20 tent sites and 21 private caravan sites, with a capacity of 10,000 people per year (80 people per day). All campsites are deck sites, and basic equipment such as tents (for 4-5 people), mattresses, picnic tables, fire pits, and electrical facilities are provided free of charge.

Amenities include showers, restrooms, cooking facilities, and an attached parking lot. The operating period is from mid-March to November each year, and it is closed in winter. It is no exaggeration to say that this is a small but substantial campground. As a place built using a closed school, it offers amenities such as a Go room, a book cafe, and a table tennis room within the classrooms, as well as play facilities like a deer enclosure, a trampoline, and a sand playground. In summer, a temporary swimming pool is opened to beat the heat, making it popular with family travelers.
