About this campground
Jindo Punggyeong Auto Camping Site, opened in 2016, is located within Sambyeolcho Park. Sambyeolcho Park is Korea's first park created with the theme of Sambyeolcho, who fought against the Mongols in the 13th century. It is situated at the foot of Cheomchalsan Mountain, boasting beautiful scenery, and Unrimsanbang, a sacred place for Korean Southern School painting. Here, you can stay in traditional Korean houses or enjoy camping at the auto camping sites. The traditional Korean houses consist of 3 buildings and 7 rooms, and there are a total of 14 deck sites.

The deck sites are particularly large, with wide spacing between them, so there's no need to worry about bumping into neighboring tents, and most large tents can be set up. Internal facilities include a communal kitchen, public restrooms, public showers, a playground, and a forest bathing area (with gazebos and flat benches). Additionally, a park golf course is also available, allowing you to enjoy golf along with camping. It's also a good base camp for Jindo tourism, with famous historical sites and scenic spots like Ssanggyesa Temple, Jindo History Museum, and Unrim Art Village nearby.
