Just 2 miles down the road you will find Kickapoo state park. We are located just outside the small town of Lincoln, where you will find a cute and inviting downtown (2 miles) with plenty of shopping and restaurants, and a Wal-Mart (3 miles). Lincoln, IL was named for President Abraham Lincoln. His home, tomb, and law offices are in nearby Springfield, IL (30 mins). A small town with a lot of history, the same can be said about our little park, Camp A While. We are one of the first stops on Route 66 heading west from Chicago to Santa Monica, California! The park is currently operated year round, which is one of the only in the area that is able to provide full hook up sites. Due to the location off of Interstate 55 (a major north/south corridor), this park caters to snow birds both times of the year, every day RV'ers, Route 66 enthusiasts, international travelers, and a plethora of work opportunities for mobile workers staying in the area on a monthly basis. This combination provides for a consistent clientele throughout the year. Camp A While is a top rated park on RV Life, one of the most popular and most used RV review sites with an 8.3 rating! Also has a 4.7 rating on Google! The park has a total of 13 sites: 9 full hook up (30/50 amp) - 3 of which are pull through sites 1 water/electric (30/50 amp) 3 electric only (30 amp) Electrical, plumbing, and sewer have been recently upgraded as of April 2024. Can accommodate any size RV and handle all the power and water needs that come with the new RV's.
