About this campground

Broadleigh Farm Park is a 9 acre caravan and camping park set in the beautiful South Devon countryside. Situated halfway between Paignton and Totnes, it is perfectly positioned to take advantage of all that South Devon has to offer. There are walks galore close-by or, in half an hour, you can be on Dartmoor with a vast area of open countryside for pleasure and solitude. Within a few minutes drive are several beaches, safe for children, or any number of small bays and rocky coves. Broadleigh is close to the small village of Stoke Gabriel, where there is a shop, pubs and a Post Office; it sits on the banks of the River Dart.

In the opposite directions, just a few minutes away, lie Paignton, Brixham and Torquay with many restaurants, bars and shops. Just a little further are Plymouth and Exeter. Why Broadleigh Farm? There are 3 separate fields that make up the caravan and campsite - a 5 pitch CL site (Caravan Club Certified Location), an 80 pitch holiday park (main site) and a 50 pitch rally field. The rally field has a separate service block from the CL and main site. The three fields are linked in a L Shape but separated by traditional 'Devon hedges'. We are still a working farm, farming 400 acres, which includes 15 acres of cider apple orchards from which we make our very own scrumpy cider. Click here to visit our Hunt's Cider website. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead at all times. There is a separate dog walking field.Features and Facilities at Broadleigh Farm Camping and Caravan ParkBroadleigh is close to the village of Stoke Gabriel which is on the River Dart. Use of the caravan site is charged at standard rates, and booking during peak times is advisable. However, during the low season we are able to tow your caravan on to site at short notice, which is convenient for those who want last minute breaks. For further information please contact us to discuss your requirements.About Our FarmThe land surrounding Broadleigh is all farmed by us. You will be able to see our cattle grazing in fields adjacent to the caravan site, and sheep grazing in our cider apple orchards. We have a beef herd of 80 cows, and keep a small flock of 80 sheep. We farm 400 acres in total, of which 90 acres are used to grow barley. This is to feed our cattle when they come in for the winter. 15 acres are old, traditional orchards. These orchards are at least a couple of hundred years old, and the apples that we grow in them are used to make cider which is available to buy on the farm. Click here to visit our Hunt's Cider website. The remainder of the land is grassland, some is cut for silage and hay, and the remainder grazed by our animals throughout the summer. We also keep geese, turkeys and chickens. Eggs are available to buy in reception which come from a neighbouring farm. It is important to stress that we are a working farm, and that the caravan site is separate from the day to day running of the farm work. We are not a petting farm, and can not offer you a hands on farming experience.Caravan RalliesOur rally field is separate from the main site and has it's own service block. It has 28 electric hook-ups and permission for up to 50 caravans. There is also a barn in which social evenings can be held. If you wish to enquire about holding a caravan rally at Broadleigh Farm please contact us so we can discuss your requirements.DirectionsPlease Note: Satellite navigation systems may send you on roads unsuitable for touring and motor caravans.
