About this campground

Overview We are a working dairy farm that has been in the same family for generations. We milk our herd twice a day. The milk we produce is used by a local creamery to make Lye Cross Cheddar cheese, which can be bought locally. The cheese is also used by Pipers crisps to make their Lye Cross Cheddar and Onion flavour crisps. We don t sell our milk, but are happy to let you try some fresh from the cow - just ask. We have ten EHUs, hard and grass pitches and new toilets and shower blocks and we welcome all well behaved dogs. There is a pub opposite the campsite The Blue Flame Inn. Tesco is a 5-minute drive from the campsite towards Clevedon. The nearest cash machine is also there.

Asda is a little further on into Clevedon. If you use Morrisons home delivery you can arrange to have your shopping delivered directly to the site. Aldi and Lidl are also nearby. Cheddar Gorge is nearby along with a number of other local attractions, including Bristol itself, which is only a 20-minute drive away. This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents*, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example. *Tents are not permitted on some CS sites in Scotland. 0.5 acre, level.
