About this campground
We are 5 miles from downtown Mountain View, AR on a state highway, so it's not perfectly quite here... but, the traffic does settle down when it's time to go to sleep. There are almost always live musicians playing/singing around town somewhere. After all, this is the Folk Music Capital of the World. There is a live band playing at the courthouse on Friday and Saturday evening (weather permitting) Our host location is down by our barn with lots of shade (30 amp elec., water and wifi available for a nominal fee). BoonDocking is of course always free. You will definitely want to ride around for a bit, because the scenery is awesome no matter which way you go around here.

Suggested Local Attractions: Mountain View, AR is known as the Folk Music Capital of the World (courthouse is 5 miles from our house). Ozark Folk Center is 6.3 miles away. Loco Ropes is out by the Folk Center. There is also a go cart track a few miles north of town. Blanchard Springs Caverns is 18 miles (about 30 minutes). You can empty your holding tanks at Blanchard for free. But don't tell them we sent you ;-) The White River access is about 10 miles away. The Sylamore Creek ties into the White River 5 miles north of Mountain View and is a popular kayaking spot. There are a couple of nice restaurants on the river about 10 miles.
