About this campground

Welcome to Olde Farm! Just west of Lincoln, NE, Olde Farm offers a safe, relaxing and worry-free shelter for wanderers. We're nestled on just under 5 acres, and most guests love to park by our Grain Bin Gazebo (when it's not too wet out) and take advantage of the nostolgia and space it provides. In 2025, we began recording tails from the road - from willing Boondockers that are happy to share their stories. Take a peak on our small, but growing YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@bin-a-while for a taste. Here you can meet us, meet some of our guests, and hear some fun stories nearly all of us can related to.

The YouTube option is 100% volunteer - and you're welcome here if you participate or not - no pressure whatsoever. About Olde Farm: In the 70's, the farm was subdivided, and the landscape is now dotted with very nice, newer homes, all nestled across the road from rural farmland. Olde Farm lies in contrast to the newer builds with our 1912 farmhouse that stands proud after all these years. Emanuel and Anna Peterson, the builders/original owners of our home built our "prairie box" home that included running water, concrete basement walls and floor, electricity in the home and barn, and pretty much everything but Air Conditioning. City homes offered those amenities by 1912 - but this house was far from town when built - quite a trailblazer. Today, Costco and other conveniences are a mere 10 minutes away. We're still in the country - but very close to town, and a short distance from I-80. Unless it's extremely wet out, guests are welcome to park in the grass next to our grain bin gazebo where you can enjoy picnicking, listening to the birds in the morning, or enjoying a campfire together. We also have gravel parking closer to the street for a quick way out in the morning . For Boondockers by name only (smiley face) we have 50-amp service. Water is nearby, and if you need to toss a bag or two, you're welcome to chip in! While you're here, feel free to let your dog off the leash provided they don't get too close to our chickens. Of course, we just ask that you clean up after them. You're also welcome to walk the perimeter of our property for a little exercise, or visit nearby Yankee Hill Lake for some amazing sunset photos! Hope to see you soon!
