About this campground
We are long time (40 years +) weekend and vacation RV’ers having had trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes. Danny is retired from the Southern California Edison Co. (1996) and current owner and president of RTS Technical Services. Sherry is a retired California teacher and now a Behavior Therapist (BCBA). We relocated from our home in the Sequoia National Monument, Camp Nelson, California to Kerrville in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas in 2016. We live a few miles off Interstate 10 (7.8 miles, 18 Minutes). Presently we have a 35’ 2020 Thor ACE 33.1 motorhome. Our location is a great base for scenic drives through the Hill Country.

Fredericksburg, TX is approximately 29 miles from our location and is home to popular attractions like the National Museum of the Pacific War, Texas Wine Country, award-winning shopping, and Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Fredericksburg is also the birthplace of Admiral Chester Nimitz, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet during World War II. Bandera, TX is known as the Cowboy Capital of the World. Enjoy year-round cowboy fun at area dude ranches, Saturday afternoon "gunfights", nightly music, big skies, and friendly folks. We are approximately 1 hour to San Antonio where you can visit the Alamo, River Walk, Tower of the Americas, and other historic sites. Austin (The capitol city of Texas) is a little over 2 hours away.
