About this campground
We have 7 acres of wooded property situated on area of old gold mining property with beautiful stream. 7 miles to Dahlonega, a historic town where gold was found. 19 miles to Helen, GA an Alpine themed village. The Appalachian trail also starts at Amicalola Falls State park about 26 miles from here, it also crosses several roads nearby. Brass Town Bald, highest mountain in GA is a 32 mile nice drive. Lots of waterfalls, Desoto Falls, Anna Ruby, Dukes Creek Falls and many hiking trails nearby. There a 4 winery's within 4 miles of our home. Horseback riding, canoeing and kayaking are available in the area.

Suggested Local Attractions:Gold museum and gold mine tours at local mines, plenty of waterfalls and hiking trails close by. Even though we are back in the woods, we do have some road noise from the highway. At night it's considerably quieter. We also are usually living in our 5th wheel that is parked in the same vicinity.
