About this campground
Bonanza Group Campground is located nine miles up the scenic and historic Yankee Fork drainage in the Salmon-Challis National Forest. At 6,500 feet elevation, this group facility sits in a beautiful valley near the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River, surrounded by lodgepole pines and abundant summer wildflowers. The campground features 13 camping spurs, each with a parking pad, picnic table, and campfire ring. Spurs average 45 to 50 feet deep, with five wide enough for additional vehicles. A central group area includes two large fire rings, a grey water sink, and several picnic tables. The facility accommodates approximately 40 vehicles without trailers or 20 vehicles with trailers.
