Djerdap National Park. In the middle of nature right on the river Danube. Swimming in the river. View on the surrounding mountains in Serbia and Romania. For EU members free 3G roaming with Romanian providers. Tricky access via the narrow old road parallel to Road 34. Coming from the south follow signs for ‘Kanjon Boljetinske’. From the North exit at archeological site ‘Lepenski Vir’ and take the small road going South. To get to the river there is a narrow steep dirt track going down (see Satellite map), very bumpy in two places, but we managed in our VW T5. For the less daring there is a good place 40m higher up, but with less rewarding views than on the river. Quiet night, only sounds the frogs and some traffic on the Romanian side of the river.
