About this campground
Böhmerwaldcamp Klaffer am Hochficht is a camping and tenting site nestled in the beautiful mid-mountain landscape, on the southern slope of the 1337 m high Böhmerwald, right by a 4 ha bathing lake. In addition to 46 permanent pitches, there are 20 pitches for holiday guests with electricity, water and sewer connections, site lighting and sanitary facilities in the lake restaurant. These facilities include shower rooms, toilets, and washing facilities. The campsite offers beautiful lawns for sunbathing, well-designed jetties, sanitary facilities, a playground, a Tarzan slide, a beach volleyball court, a skate park, a swing, a climbing house and a sun terrace.

Pedal boats are available for a leisurely tour directly on the lake. Apart from the natural beauty, the municipality of Klaffer am Hochficht offers wonderful leisure and recreational facilities. These include the Böhmerwald local history room, the wagon and water museum, the fishery and aquatic plant nature trail, and many hiking, jogging and cycling routes. There are also groomed cross-country ski trails and the Hochficht ski area. The campsite is home to Austria's largest medicinal herb garden, a herbal alp and the unique herbal fair on August 15. The cuisine of the adjacent lake restaurant, which serves national delicacies on the sun terrace with a relaxing view over the lake, is particularly appreciated.
