About this campground

Blackfoot Regional Park was established to commemorate the Old Clayhurst Ferry Crossing Site on the Peace River. The ferry was rendered obsolete by the construction of the Don Phillips fixed bridge connecting the rural areas of Clayhurst and Doe River. The park is located approximately 75 kilometers east of Fort St. John and 51 kilometers north of Dawson Creek. New amenities and services at Blackfoot include walking trails, park caretaker, on-site wood purchase, new campsites with and without electrical hook-ups, updated park buildings and outhouses, updated fire pits, picnic tables and signage.

Be sure to check out our new outdoor game lending library! Please note that there is no potable water at the park. The park will open on May 14, 2026 and will close in mid-September 2026, unless otherwise noted. There is no internet or cellular phone service at Blackfoot Park, though there is access to a land line in the event of emergencies.
