Beecraigs Country Park is a great place to visit. It caters for a wide range of leisure and recreational activities within its 370 hectares (913 acres) and can be discovered nestled high in the Bathgate Hills near the historic town of Linlithgow. The Visitor Centre provides advice and information as well as a range of gift items, venison sales, ice cream, confectionary and drinks.Beecraigs is a great destination for a holiday!Pitch InformationProviding 28 hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up (16amp) for caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents and a number of grass pitches for tents. The pitches enable tourers to visit all year round (approx. size 6metres wide by 8.5metres long) and long, steel rock pegs are required for erecting an awning on the hardstanding. Two of our bays have recently been upgraded to provide deluxe sized pitches and are proving popular for those on longer stays. On booking we cannot guarantee a particular bay for you but we will take note of your preference and do our best to accommodate.CampingA separate grass camping area provides pitches for tents but we do not provide electric hook-up for tent pitches. The camping area caters for tents up to a maximum of 24metres square. Our camping ground closes over the winter and will re-open from 28th March 2013 until 10th October 2013.Site FacilitiesThis site has two quality ablution blocks with laundry, dishwashing rooms, disabled provision, family shower rooms, children's bath, baby changing, shaving points, and hand & hair dryers. The upper ablution block is closed over the winter months. Visitors staying on the site have access to all of these facilities. On the site there are picnic tables & BBQ provision, young children's play area (with a larger adventure play area within the Country Park), Calor Gas exchange, refuse & recycling points and access to a public telephone. Fishing at BeecraigsBeecraigs is a long established, sheltered, 20 acre, chalk spring loch. The loch is open throughout the year and is regularly stocked with quality Rainbow Trout. There is fly fishing from boat with the option to fish "Catch & Keep" and/or "Catch & Release".The facilities include:- private car park, fishing lodge and tackle shop, floating jetty enabling easy access to 9 well maintained boats.
