Not a great place to tent. Great place to stay with a small camper or RV if passing through Bay City or going to an event. Beach is not the most sanitary.
Overall, Bay City State Park offers a family-friendly camping experience with clean facilities and a variety of amenities. Campers appreciate the large, shady sites and the friendly staff, as well as the proximity to Lake Huron and numerous recreational activities. However, some reviewers noted that certain campsites can be sloped or closely packed together, and the beach water quality may not always be ideal. Despite these drawbacks, the park remains a popular choice for families looking for a fun outdoor getaway.
