About this campground

Bank Farm Leisure is situated on the beautiful Gower Peninsula in the small village of Horton. Bank farm is a family run concern, the Richards family being the original farmers of this lovely 75-acre site. The leisure park is situated at the top of Horton village, commanding a breathtaking view of Horton and Port Eynon Bay. A wide range of accommodation at Bank Farm Leisure Park in Gower, is available, from electric or non electric pitches for Camping to Caravanning (Touring caravans), to renting one of our cosy family Self Catering Holiday Bungalows.

We also have privately owned caravan holiday homes on the park, which can be purchased brand new from Bank Farm.We cater for a wide range of people from families with young children up to the more mature couple wanting a quiet break in GowerHere at Bank Farm we accept touring caravan and camping rallies at a discounted price for units of 20 plus and catering up to 150 units, please call for more details. We also accept those that are doing the Duke of Edinburgh Award as well as school parties.Access Statement for Bank Farm Holiday BungalowsAt Bank Farm there is a complex of 38 holiday bungalows, most of which are privately owned.We currently own ten self-catering holiday bungalows which are available to rent. Nine of the bungalows have between two and five steps leading up to the front door. Bungalows with three or more steps have been equipped with a hand rail on the right as you descend the steps. No internal adaptations have been made.The tenth bungalow has been extensively adapted to accommodate people with a range of disabilities, including wheelchair users and those with visual impairment. Specific adaptations are listed below:-Level Tarmac parking & reversing area; designated bay at rear of bungalow. Ramped access from carpark on flag pathway.Level platform at external doorway, with threshold depth of 6mm. Wide 765mm uPVC door directly into living area.Level ground floor accommodation with doors 750mm wide to all areas.Kitchen has both low and standard level work surfaces. Sink is at an intermediate height, with insulated underside. Oven has low level controls. Contrasting colours used for appliances.Twin bedroom has a single bed with mattress 480mm above floor - standard wheelchair height. Second bed is a fold-up zedbed, to maximise on space for single occupancy by wheelchair user.Bathroom & WC with wheel-in shower. Left-sided transfer to toilet & shower seat. Large basin suitable for stripwash. Sliding door; grabrails fitted throughout. Lounge has a chair with mechanical lifting seat to help to a standing position. All switches and power points in above areas are 900 - 1200mm above floor. Double bedroom has not been adapted. Dogs welcome.Access statement for Bank Farm Holiday Park.All static caravans are privately owned.Touring pitches are either grass or hard standing. All have parking for one car adjacent to caravan.Tent pitches are all grass. All have parking for one car adjacent to tent.Large centrally situated shower & toilet block with ramped access. Mens' and womens' W.C. (2 of each) adapted for wheelchair use with grabrails.Separate wheel-in shower cubicle for male & female.Level access to bar/restaurant area & coffee bar/conservatory. Waitress service available.Swing doors with no sill at entrance to main facilities. Matwell in porchway.Public payphone available. Good coverage for Orange mobile network.Large carpark adjacent to main facilities - no designated bays for wheelchair users. Ramped access to outdoor heated swimming pool. Level access to unisex W.C. in bar area, fully adapted for wheelchair use.Ramped access to shop and launderette - delivery of provisions by arrangement. Tarmac roads with speed bumps - avoidable by using grass verges.Assistance dogs welcome. Nearest town/city: Swansea - 16 miles/25 kilometres.Two-hourly bus service from Horton village 8am - 7pm Monday - Saturday. Bank Farm ClubhouseThere are only three campsites in Gower that have their own clubhouses and Bank Farm Leisure Park is one of the lucky ones to have one on site. The clubhouse has a lot to offer to its customers and guests from;Fully Licensed Bar Coffee Bar (Serving food from 8am - 10:30pm peak season)Bar Meals (Served from 12 midday - 9pm)Weekly Entertainment throughout Summer HolidaysQuiz Nights every Friday (Thursday throughout Summer Holidays)Bingo every Sunday (Buy your tickets from 11am)Sunday Lunch, 12:30 - 2:30 (advised to book)SKY TV (Showing all Major Sporting games)WIFI available in the ClubhouseSwimming Pool available at the back of the ClubhouseEntertainmentBank Farm has regular entertainment on throughout 'High Season', ranging from vocalists, duo's, karaoke and much more.The majority of these performances will take place on a Tuesday night in the bar and start around 9pm. If you are interested in these performances keep an eye out for the entertainment list that will follow shortly. The Bank Farm Quiz, takes place in the bar every Friday night or Thursday night during school & Bank holidays. So get your thinking caps on, in order to win some alcoholic or non alcholic drinks vouchers for your team.Three general knowledge rounds and a picture quiz.(Max of 4 drinks per team) Bingo takes place every Sunday morning with help of the Bank Farm Residents Club, tickets are on sale from 11am in the bar, Bingo starts at 12 Midday.DirectionsSatellite Navigation with our postcode SA3 1LL will try and direct you off the A4118 via Penrice.This road is totally unsuitable for caravans and motor homes.
