About this campground
Augustenhof Strand Camping is located in one of the most picturesque areas in Southern Jutland. Located almost directly on the beach, it offers a beautiful and undisturbed environment where you can really enjoy the Danish nature, the bathing water and the tranquility with your family. If you feel like taking a trip to the city, we are only 30 km away from Sønderborg. In Sønderborg, you have plenty of opportunities for shopping, cozy cafes and experiencing the culture of the "capital of Sønderjylland". If the kids need some action on a rainy day, visit Danfoss Universe, where you'll not only come back to the campsite a little smarter, but you're also guaranteed to have had fun.

For a more relaxed activity away from the campsite, you can visit Sønderborg Castle and explore the history of Southern Jutland from the Middle Ages to the present day. Close to Sønderborg you can also find Augustiana - Denmark's largest sculpture park - where you can experience both small and large works of art. Visitors are allowed not only to see the sculptures but also to touch them, making it a great place for children. Augustiana is located in Augustenborg, just outside Sønderborg. A short distance from Sønderborg is Dybbøl Mølle, where you can learn more about the Battle of Dybbøl in 1864 and enjoy lunch in the surrounding grasslands. So if you spend your holiday at Augustenhof Strand Camping, you will not only enjoy the peaceful rural atmosphere by the beach, but also have easy access to Sønderborg and its surroundings, where you can explore many exciting cultural attractions.
