Kaibab Lake Campground lies in the diverse landscape of Kaibab National Forest, positioned on the uplifted Colorado Plateau at an elevation of 6,800 feet. Pine forests and grasses line the lake shores, with wildflowers adding color in late spring and early summer. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the region, located just 60 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park and near the historic towns of Williams and Flagstaff. The facility accommodates RVs and motorhomes up to 40 feet in length across individual, double, and group campsites. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring. The campground provides restrooms, drinking water at faucets, and trash bins.

A small camp store sells firewood bundles, ice, bait, and ice cream. Swimming is not permitted in the lake, but fishing is popular from shore or via the accessible fishing pier. A boat ramp allows access for watercraft with single electric motors or gasoline engines not exceeding 10 horsepower. A nature trail wanders through the area for easy hiking. Summer temperatures typically range from 50 degrees at night to 80-90 degrees during the day. Monsoon thunderstorms can develop quickly in July and August. The area receives snow from December through March.
