About this campground
ts owned by a Portigeuse chap, called Lucas, we have known him for a few years, and a nicer more genuine man you couldn't find! When he started this place off To be fair to the guy..he initially tried to sort it..but its an unofficial site. so limited development is going on, and sad to say since we visited last..its going down hill..used to be 5 euros a night with electric, now its 8. with electric and 7 without..No brainer really..take the EHU for a euro Its still cheap. but very basic..one toilet and shower for all the site..and grubby as well. Pitches are more or less as large as you want them..but no shade..which in summer is a big no no.

Ground is flat..sandy ..He's got a couple of Very large portuguese dogs..Estrellas, I believe they call them. Now locked in a wire compound. as recently they bit a camper..Who nevertheless became an unhappy camper. Dont know the circumstances of that..as Lucas would not let them roam around.. but all this aside..it could be a great spot. with a very good pub next door, Messines shopping center and town 4 miles a way.. Alte is also around 7 miles away. but alas its unkempt and unloved..but a great place to spend a night because your to tired to drive.
