About this campground
Spanning 31 miles and crossing the U.S.-Canada border, Lake Memphremagog is Vermont’s second-largest lake and a federally designated navigable waterway, akin to Lake Champlain and the Great Lakes. Its name comes from the Abenaki word "Memrahabegek", meaning “where there is a big expanse of water,” an apt description for a lake known for its vast size, fjord-like shoreline, and rich history.
