About this campground
The pub has been well supported by the local community and is going from strength to strength since the reopening. Since taking on the pub the most has been made of the 3/4 acre site with landscaping and the formation of the campsite in the lower portion. There is a large patio at the front and ample seating in the garden. The site is in a conservation area with a Site of Special Scientific Interest at St Johns Lake only 2 minutes walk away, where many sea and wading birds can be seen. The site is a very small and quiet site with room for around 8 tents depending on their size.

The pub serves Real Ales which change every week and can be anything from a 3.5% �quaffing� bitter to a luxurious 5.6% chocolate Porter. Food is only served on a friday evening from 5-9pm when an outside caterer sets up a flying kitchen in the marquee serving fish and chips, steak, sausages, and anything else he feels like on the night. There is no TV, wifi or duke box, but they do have music events from time to time in the large marquee.
