Hosted by: Jump to Photos Zippel Bay State Park Campground Minnesota Zippel Bay State Park Overview Zippel Bay State Park campground has 57 single-family campsites (no electric hookups) and is located next to Lake of the Woods. There is also one group site. Most of the sites have shade and include a table and fire ring. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, hot showers ($) and a seasonal dump station. There’s also a small nature store, picnic area, canoe rentals and firewood available for sale at the contact station. Zippel Bay State Park – Area Recreation & Info Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, picnicking, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. Winter sports includes cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. You may also be interested in Lake Bronson State Park, Old Mill State Park or Red River SRA. If you’re heading south you may also like Big Bog SRA.
