And his 11 yr old son brought him to hipcamp for their family farm. Very kind, answered all our questions, responsive and polite. Allowed us to come early and leave late. Allowed us to use the water spiket at the farm house and gave us free wood for both nights we stayed. And a free smores kit with lighter to use. Beautiful historical farm land with cows. The camping spot is in a feild with plenty of room to camp. It's in the back of the feild so it's off the road. It has a rock firepit, picnic table and tiki torch with a full tank provided. We had 3 tents and 9 people and had plenty of room. There is a small stream that goes through the campsite and around the property. Nice to listen to along with animals all night while enjoying a full view of the stars. Very nice in autumn with all the leaves. The host allowed us to fish in the farm pond. We caught and released several fish. He also has a walking path on the property with some nice views. This was my sons first camping trip, he is 13 months. We had a nice time and would definitely go back. I recommend this host and site. There is no cell service in the area, but the nearby farmhouse has wifi that Kevin will provide the info for. We had a beautiful morning in the field after the weather cleared. Honestly- we couldn’t have been more pleased with our host and the location. It was about 10-15 minutes from town, and about 30 minutes from 2 state parks and the blue ridge parkway.
