You might encounter a few large, very friendly dogs that roam the area. Alan is a very nice host and dropped by several times to make sure everything was going well. It is a working ranch with cattle, llamas and a few horses and donkeys. The grove of trees provides ample shade and the grass throughout is very nice to set up camp on. Lodi is not far away and we were able to go wine tasting during the heat of the day. We definitely plan to come back in the spring when it is a bit cooler.
