Facilities reflect that this is a campsite for 'real' campers\(\!\) and include cold running water, portaloo's and open campfire facilities\.However, if cooking over an open stove is not your thing, The New Harp Inn is just 200m away\! Serving excellent food from 12 noon \- 3pm and 6pm \- 10pm, going hungry won't be a problem\.Please note; booking at this pub is advisable to avoid disappointment\.The CampsiteThis is first and foremost a family campsite\. Kids & their families just love it\!Unruly and unsociable behaviour will not be tolerated, and campers who do not consider the needs of other campers and our village neighbours will be asked to leave\.Camp fires can be lit but only in the obvious places provided\.Wood is available for purchase from campsite owner\.No foraging for wood in the camp field or adjacent fields\.Dogs allowed but must be kept under control\.No caravans or campervans allowed\. \(Sorry, council planning restrictions\) NO LOUD MUSIC as this disturbs the villagers, and may close the site\.We respectfully ask that any noise or disturbance after 11pm is kept to an absolute minimum, for the sake of fellow campers, their families and our surrounding villagers\.A shop and Post Office, along with meals are available at The New Harp Inn just 200 metres from the campsite\.CanoeingBlessed with a naturally sheltered landing site and wooden steps up to the top of the river bank, Tresseck Campsite is ideal for launching or recovering canoes\.Situated midway between Fownhope near Hereford and Ross\-on\-Wye the site is an excellent stop\-off point for canoeists in need of a place to camp\.If a leisurely paddle for around half a day is more your scene, then either put your canoe in at Fownhope and disembark at the campsite, or launch at the site and climb out at Ross\-on\-Wye\.What better way to spend a day than lazily paddling down the truly beautiful River Wye, enjoying its abundance of wildlife?Typical canoe times are:Fownhope to Tresseck Campsite \- 3\-4 hoursTresseck Campsite to Ross\-on\-Wye \- 3\.5 \- 4\.5 hours FishingThe fields alongside Tresseck Campsite have fishing rights along some 250 metres of the River Wye\.For more information about access to the river please call 01432 840235\. Follow for 4 miles, and it takes you right to the pub in the centre of the village\. Just past the pub, on the right, is the entrance to the campsite\.
