About us: a fascinating historySpital Farm is a newly\-converted 16th century farm building which looks out onto the beautiful Vale of Pickering, which houses modern facilities and array of shops on site\. Spital Farm Camping started in 2001 as a camping and caravaning site on an ancient monument land which dates back to King Atherson, the first King of England \(Anglo Saxon\) and now you can camp on this site with panoramic woodland and countryside views, knowing King Atherson has stayed here\.The history of the site goes back to 997AD, through Anglo Saxon times, and up to the present day\.
